Malik Mansurov was born in Sumgayit.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1981-1986).
In 1986, he worked as a tar teacher at the Sumgayit city secondary specialized music school.
Since 1989, he has accompanied the singer Alim Gasimov.
Since 2002, he has been teaching tar at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory, is an associate professor and head of the Instrumental Mugham Department.
Honored Artist, People's Artist (2020).
