Magsud Mammadov (II)

Magsud Mammadov was born in Ganja.

He studied at the Moscow Choreographic School (1950).

After graduation, he became a soloist of the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater (1951-1961). In 1972-1973, he worked as a ballet master and teacher in Algeria. He is the first Azerbaijani ballet artist.

Laureate of the Order of Glory (2019), Honored Artist (1955), People's Artist (1970) Magsud Mammadov died in 2024.

Choreographer Magsud Mammadov is the husband of choreographer Rafiga Akhundova.
