Loghman Karimov

Loghman Karimov was born in Baku.
He started working as a worker in the theater at the age of 16. He entered the evening department of the Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. When the acting faculties were abolished, he continued his education at the Education Faculty. While studying in the third year, he was accepted into the troupe to perform on public stages in the theater. At the same time, he worked on the “Student Years” program for young people on the radio. He directed the “Furuza” Student Theater. He worked as an actor at the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators, and since 1998 as a director, and then as a chief director.
He played the role of soldier Hajibeyov in the film “Gunpowder” (1983, director Viktor Aristov), produced by Russian filmmakers.
Currently, he is the chief director of the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater.
He is an Honored Artist (2006).
Actor, theater director Logman Karimov is the brother of actor Valeh Karimov.
