Khuraman Gasimova was born in Baku.

She studied at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1975, Shovket Mammadova, I. Lvovich's class).

She is a soprano singer. Since 1976, she has been a soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater. She is a laureate of the 5th Transcaucasian Competition of Performers (1977, 1st prize), the 7th All-Union Competition of Vocalists named after M. Glinka (1977) and the International Competition named after Maria Callas (1981, Athens; also awarded the "Grand Prix" gold medal), the 8th International Competition of Performers named after P. Tchaikovsky (1982, Moscow). Since 1982, she has been teaching at the Baku Music Academy (since 1993, head of the solo singing department, since 1996, professor). Since 1994, she has been a professor at the Istanbul State University Conservatory.

Laureate of the State Prize (1984), the Orders of "Independence" (2021), "Sharaf" (2011) and "Shohrat" (2001), Honored Artist (1982), People's Artist (1986).

Opera singer, vocalist, actress Khuraman Gasimova is the sister of opera singer, vocalist Fidan Gasimova.
