Jalil Javanshir (Jalil Hajiyev) was born in the village of Khachmaz, Oghuz region.
He studied at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Ganja State University, specializing in German (2004-2008).
Since his student years, he has collaborated with many print media. He prepared the literature page of the “Center” newspaper (2011). He was an editor in the “Publika Art” project (2012), a specialist in the Knowledge Foundation (2015-2019), editor-in-chief of the Mucru.art website (2020), a columnist for “Sputnik-Azerbaijan” (2020-2022), editor-in-chief and translator of “Hadaf” Publications, editor-in-chief of the “Azerbaijani Literature” department at the “Qanun” Publishing House, and head of the “Dinle Kitab” audio-book project (2022).
His poems have been translated into various languages. He has made literary translations from Turkish and German. He has published more than 10 books. He founded the literary and artistic translation magazine "Palma", the newspaper "Region Khabar", and the electronic literary magazine doqquziklim.net (2009).
Since 2023, he has been the founder and director of the "Literary Agency", and since 2026, he has been the founder and director of the "Art Med Mark Agency".
He took second place in the poetry nomination at the II Nasimi Literary Competition (2010). He is the winner of the "Literary Competition on Patriotism" announced by the Ministry of Culture (2021).
