Inara Guliyeva was born in Moscow. Her grandfather is Azerbaijani.

She studied at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts, specializing in musical theater directing (GITIS, 1972-1978).

Since 1972, she has been a soloist of the Moscow Operetta Theater. She is the author of musical programs on Russian television, the author of the TV projects “Operetta Invites You” and “Blessed is Your Light Genre”, and the production director of several musical performances. She is engaged in directing in various theaters of the country, and also teaches at a theater school.

She is an Honored Artist of Russia (1994). She was awarded the 2nd degree medal of the Order “For Services to the Fatherland” (2003).
