Ibrahim Isfahanli (Ibrahim Huseynzadeh) was born in Tbilisi.

At the age of eight, his mother apprenticed him to a shoemaker. As soon as he had money, he and the neighborhood children watched performances by Azerbaijani theater enthusiasts at the Zubalov People's House, the Artists' Club, and the Georgian Nobleman's House. He first appeared on stage in 1909 thanks to the care of Mustafa Mardanov and Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev. From 1911, he appeared on stage at the Tbilisi Azerbaijan Theater, and from 1917 in the "Ittihad" and "Ibret" drama groups in Tbilisi. He also prepared plays as a director at "Ittihad". He worked as the chief director of the Tbilisi State Azerbaijan Drama Theater (1926-1928).

In 1928, he came to the Academic National Drama Theater. He was the chief director of the Zagatala (1947-1948) and Gazakh (1948) State Theaters. After these theaters were closed in 1949, he returned to Tbilisi.

He headed drama circles in Tbilisi and Bashkechid.

He worked in the Azerbaijani variety ensemble of the Georgian State Philharmonic.

People's Artist of Georgia (1932) Ibrahim Isfahanli died in Tbilisi and was buried in the Ortachala cemetery.
