Hanafi Teregulov

Hanafi Teregulov (Mammadhanifa Tanrigulov / Hanifa Teregulov) was born in Tbilisi.
He studied at the Gori Teachers' Seminary.
Since 1900, he began teaching in Baku city schools. He was one of the organizers of the Azerbaijan Photo-Cinema Department. Later, he headed this department (1923-1924). After leaving cinema in 1924, he worked as the head of the Main Press Department, deputy head of the department in the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Azerbaijan (b)P. He was one of the organizers of the opera choir in Azerbaijan and the main performers of the first opera performances.
Baritone singer and public figure Hanifa Teregulov died in 1942.
