Hasan Seyidbeyli was born in Baku.
He studied at the Sound Engineering Department of the Leningrad Institute of Cinematographers (1938-1939), at the Film Directing Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (1943-1951, class of Sergei Eisenstein and G. Kozintsev) and at the Higher Scriptwriting Courses.
He worked as a director at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio, as the First Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan (1963-1975) and Chairman (1975-1980). His plays were staged. He is the author of short stories, novels, and short stories. He was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR (9th-10th convocation).
Honored Artist (1960), People's Artist (1976) Hasan Seyidbeyli died in 1980.
