Gulshad Bakhshiyeva

Gulshad Bakhshiyeva was born in the village of Kurdakhani in Baku.
She studied Drama and Film Acting at the Azerbaijan State University of Arts (1971-1975).
She was sent to Sheki by assignment, participated in the establishment of the Sheki State Drama Theater, and was one of the first actors of the theater (1975-1985).
She is currently engaged in pedagogical activities at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Since 1985, she has been working at the Department of Stage Speech, and since 1994, at the Department of Drama Theater and Film Actor. She currently heads the department. Since 2000, she has been an associate professor, and since 2006, she has been a professor.
For her role in the film "Lie", she was awarded the "Golden Lamp" award in the nomination "Best Female Image" (2006). She is an Honored Artist (1982).
Actress Gulshad Bakhshiyeva was the wife of actor and director Huseynagha Atakishiyev.
