Farman Abdullayev (Farman Shekili) was born in Sheki.
He studied at the Sheki Acting School and Mikhail Tumanishvili's acting course in Georgia.
He worked at the Sheki State Drama Theater (1975-1994) and the Azerbaijan State Youth Theater.
The performances he staged have won awards at international festivals.
He is the author of the pantomime play "Dahi".
He was the creator of the clown art in Azerbaijan. He became known for his role as Shurum-Burum in the children's program broadcast on ABA television.
Farman Abdullayev died in 2013 and was buried in the Hovsan cemetery.
Actor Farman Abdullayev is the father of director Elvin Abdulla.
