Faramiz Mammadov was born in Ganja.

He studied at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (1967-1973), the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Azerbaijan State University, specializing in Arabic Studies (1981-1985).

Worked as an assistant cinematographer, cameraman, and director-operator at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio from 1959 until his retirement in 2004. He is a cameraman for about 40 documentary and feature films, more than 20 satirical magazines “Mozalan” and other plots.

Since 1984, he has been engaged in the translation of the Quran in parallel. He is the author of three books on the scientific study of the Holy Quran.
