Elnur Karimov was born in Baku.

He studied at the Republican Art Gymnasium (1989-1999), and at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (1999-2003).

As a child, he was engaged in dancing and, in particular, music in the drum circle at the Yuri Gagarin Palace of Pioneers. He performed a solo "snap-back" on the drum at the Heydar Aliyev Palace on the 50th anniversary of the Yuri Gagarin Palace of Pioneers (1986). Since 1988, he has been invited to the ensemble of the Sailors' Club Palace of Culture as the youngest drummer. He participated in the "Days of Azerbaijani Culture" held in the cities of Krasnovodsk and Shevchenko (1989).

While studying at the gymnasium, he played the roles of Shahriyar in the anniversary play "Shahriyar", Fuzuli in the anniversary play "Muhammad Fuzuli", Rustam bey in the play "Khor-Khor", and Gochu Asgar in the operetta "Let it not be, let it be". During his studies at the gymnasium, he was engaged in Kung Fu To`A and became the first in the capital.

Since 2001, he has been an actor of the Young Spectator Theater.

He starred in the series "Drongo" (2002, directed by Zinoviy Roizman) by Russian film producers.

He has worked as a presenter on various television channels: "Be Blessed" (Space TV), "Dusherge" (Public TV), "Morning Meetings" (AzTV), "Kinoman" (AzTV).

Since 2009, he has been elected a member of the Artistic Council of the Young Spectator Theater.

Since 2021, he has worked as a presenter and organizer at the Baku State Circus.

He was the host of the Fifth Kharibulbul Music Festival (2022).

He is an Honored Artist (2018).
