Aliheydar Hasanzadeh (Heydar Hasanzadeh) was born in Baku. He began his career as a teacher, and later, together with his wife Rukhsara Aghayeva, he became interested in acting. He participated in World War II and was seriously injured and recalled from the front in 1942. He was the founder and first director of the Gazakh State Theater. He worked at the Nakhchivan State Theater. He was the leading stage master of the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators (1932-1980).

Honored Artist (1943) Aliheydar Hasanzade died in 1981.
