Alibala Mammadov (Ali Bala Mammadov) was born in Baku. He studied at advanced training courses at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1988). He received his military service as a reconnaissance pyrotechnician. In the 1970s, he worked for a while at Mosfilm. Since 1977, he has been working as a pyrotechnician at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio. He worked as a pyrotechnician in the Russian-produced TV series Drongo (2002, directed by Zimovy Royzman). He is an Honored Worker of Culture (2019).
