Ali Mammadov was born in Nakhchivan.

From the age of 7, he was engaged in boxing and oriental martial arts. He was awarded 1st place in boxing in Nakhchivan (1979). He was a two-time Azerbaijani champion (1980, 1981).

He studied at the Azim Azimzadeh State Art School (1985-1989). In 1989, he was appointed to the cartoon workshop at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio as a master artist. Then he worked as a make-up artist.

In 1990, he was sent to the stuntmen’s association in Kyrgyzstan on recommendation. He underwent high-level training in fighting and horseback riding and received a professional stuntman’s license. After returning from Kyrgyzstan, he began working in films as a stuntman and stuntman at “Azerbaijanfilm”.

He worked as a stuntman in the foreign film producers' film "Angels" (1990 / Iran), an actor, stunt director, stuntman in the film "Destroyed Bridges" (1996, director Rafiq Puya / USA), a stunt director, stuntman in the TV series "Drongo" (2002, director Zinoviy Roizman / Russia), a stunt director, stuntman in the TV series "Count Krestofsky" (2004, director Ramiz Fataliyev / Russia), a stunt director, stuntman in the film "The Sailor" (2007 / Russia), a stunt director, stuntman in the TV series "Weapon" (2008, director Alexander Kasatkin / Russia).

He was a stunt director and performer in many music videos and commercials.

He is the chairman of the Azerbaijan Stuntmen Association.
