Eldar Iskandarzadeh was born in the Rvarud village of Lerik. He studied at the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute and the Journalism Department of the Institute's Faculty of Public Professions (1990).

He worked as deputy editor-in-chief of the Azerbaijan Television "Azerbaijantelefilm" Creative Union (1997-2001), founder and editor-in-chief of the "Television Film Studio" of Azad Azerbaijan Television and CBC TV (2013-2015), deputy director of the "Jarchi-film" Creative Union on public television (2016-2019), editor (2019-2023).

Since 2023, he has been working as a senior consultant in the Public Relations Department of the Rehabilitation, Construction and Management Service in the Karabakh Economic Region.

Since 1987, he has been appearing in the press with his poems. His poetry books “The Secret of Those Eyes” (1995) and “I am, you are, and he is also” (2011) have been published. His play “Get up, the court is coming” was staged at the Lankaran State Drama Theater (1996).

He was awarded the “Golden Pen” award (2001) and the “Hasan bey Zardabi” diploma (2012).
