Chingiz Alakbarzadeh was born in Baku.
He studied at the Philology Faculty of Azerbaijan State University (1955-1960).
He began his career as a teacher at secondary school No. 2 in the Ali Bayramli (now Shirvan) region (1960). He worked in the news editorial office of the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee (1961-1966). Then he worked as a teacher at the Ivanovka village school in the Ismayilli region (1966-1968), head of the letters department at the editorial office of the "Işıq" newspaper in the Ali Bayramli region (1968-1971), head of the letters department at the editorial office of the "Zahmetkeş" newspaper in the Ismayilli region (1971-1972), correspondent at the "Günün sesi" news editorial office at the Azerbaijan SSR Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee (1972-1973), screenwriter at the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio (1973-1975), literary worker at the "Kirpi" satirical magazine (1976-1979), freelance correspondent at the "Günün ekrani" editorial office at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee (1979-1984), and special correspondent for the Shirvan region (1984-1989).
He was arrested for sharply criticizing social vices during the recession (1986-1988). Later, he was acquitted and engaged in artistic creativity.
During his student years, the story "The Secret of the Stubborn" was published in an almanac. His books "When Leaves Fall", "Bullets Die in the Sea", "Volcano", "Dungeon", "Gambler" and others were published.
Chingiz Alakbarzadeh died in 1999.
Writer Chingiz Alakbarzadeh is the son of writer Abulhasan Alakbarzadeh.
Writer Chingiz Alakbarzadeh is the father of singer Sevda Alakbarzadeh.
