Balakishi Gasimov

Balakishi Gasimov (Balash Gasimov) was born in Baku.

He studied Finance at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

He is a player of the elite club “What? Where? When?”, the host and chief producer of the game in Azerbaijan, and the head of the GameTV.az Producer Center. He was the world champion in the sports version of the game “What? Where? When?” (2004), the champion of Azerbaijan (2002, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2013), the champion of Azerbaijan in “Brain Ring” (2002), and the champion of the South Caucasus (1998, 2003, 2010). He was elected “Person of the Year” in 2010 by the International Association of “What? Where? When?” Clubs. He was awarded the “Crystal Owl”, “Brillant Owl”, and “Best Captain of the Club” awards (2010).

Since 2018, he has been the General Director of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.

He is the President of the Azerbaijan Fencing Federation.

He was awarded the "Progress" medal (2019).
