Azad Shabanov

Azad Shabanov was born in Baku.
He studied in the vocal class of the Vagif Mustafazadeh Art and Music School No. 2, and the Variety Singer Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (Vagif Gerayzadeh's class).
He began to engage in music in 2001. He was a soloist of the "Garangush" children's vocal group of the Heydar Aliyev Palace (2003-2006). He was the winner of the "Pohra 2003" competition, the "Golden Key - 2003" song festival, the "With love for Russia" (2006, Moscow), the "Artıran soz qadrini, sidq ile qadrini artırar" festival (2007), the "Song of the World" festival (2008, Chişinău / Moldova). He was the second place winner in the "Yeni Ulduz - 07" competition, a semi-finalist in the national selection at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, and the host of the "ATV CLUB" program.
