Asif Aliyev was born in Shusha.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute (1961-1967).
He began his career at the Academic National Drama Theater. For many years, he worked as an assistant director at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio (1959-1968), and then as an editor, translator and editor-in-chief at the Dubbing editorial office (1968-1974).
After the first stories he published in the “Goyarchin” magazine, he began active artistic creativity (1963). As a researcher, he is the author of dozens of articles about artists. His books have been published.
For a while, he taught at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art.
Asif Aliyev died in 2001.
