Arzu Gaziyeva

Arzu Gaziyeva (Arzu Gaziyeva-Azimova) was born in Baku. She studied at the Piano Department of the Asef Zeynalli Baku Music School (1982-1986) and the Journalism Faculty of Baku State University (1988-1994).
She worked as a translator and editor at the Azerbaijan Oil Academy Publishing House (1990-1991), a proofreader at the "Inshaatchi" newspaper (1991), a commentator and presenter at the "News" editorial office of Azerbaijan Television (1991), a parliamentary correspondent (1994-1999), an author of documentaries at Lider TV (2000-2008), a member of the expert group at the National Television and Radio Council (2008-2012), editor-in-chief of the "Chokh yasha" health magazine (2012-2013), editor-in-chief of the "Tezden oyan" morning program on ANS TV (2013-2014), editor of the "Chokh yasha" program broadcast on ATV (2014-2016), author and presenter of the "Saghlam olun" program on Space Radio (2016).
She is the chairman of the "Assistance to the Development of Journalism" Public Association. Within the framework of the project of the Union, she implemented the program “Discussion Hour” on public and social issues on ATV Radio and other projects.
She translated the novels “The Night Administrator” (John le Carre), “The Little Drummer Girl” (John le Carre), “On the Roofs of Tehran” (Mehbud Saraji) into Azerbaijani.
The film “Flight 037” was broadcast on Swedish TV (2014).
She was awarded the Samir Asgarkhanov Prize of the Ministry of National Security and the “Humay” Prize.
Currently works at South Azerbaijan Television. She was the host of the political program “We are discussing”. Currently, she is the host of the program “Journalists are talking”.
