Anar Shushali

Anar Shushali (Anar Hasanov) was born in Khankendi. After the occupation of Shusha in 1992, he was forcibly moved to Mingachevir, and from there to Baku.

He studied at the Faculty of Journalism of the Azerbaijan Social and Political University (2000-2005).

He worked as a correspondent at the "Azerbaijan Yolu" newspaper, a correspondent, special correspondent, and department head at the "Aydın Sabah" newspaper (2003-2005), coordinator of the Azerbaijani editorial office of Lider television (2005–2007), chief producer at "MZ" production (2007-2009), commercial director of "Drive" production (2009-2010), producer of the "Marsh" military program on ANS television (2010-2016), project manager and host of the "Asgar andı" military program broadcast on Lider television (2016-2018), editor at ATV television (2018-2019), deputy editor-in-chief at Azerbaijan television, and head of the "Extreme" group (2019-2022).

In October 2020, he was injured by fire from Armenian military units while reporting in the frontline zone in the Banovshelar settlement of the Aghdam region.

He has been an employee of Real TV since 2022.
