Alla Akhundova

Alla Akhundova was born in Moscow. She studied at the Maxim Gorky Literary Institute (1964) and the scriptwriting department of the Higher Courses of Directors and Screenwriters (1967).
Since 1957, her poems and other works have been published in the press. She is also engaged in translation.
She is the author of screenplays for foreign film producers: “By the Sea We Played” (1967, director Vladimir Mkedonsky / Russia), “Once in the Summer” (1973, directors Gennady Vasilyev, Boris Nashekin, Vladimir Sarukhanov / Russia), “A Car, a Violin and a Dog Klyaksa” (1974, director Rolan Bykov / Russia), “There, on Invisible Roads” (1982, director Mikhail Yuzovsky / Russia), “Forgotten Things” (1982, director Via Veynete / Latvia), “Lyubochka” (1984, director Valery Fedoso / Russia).
Honored Artist (1988), State Prize laureate (1970).
