Alihuseyn Huseynov was born in Guba.
He studied at the Cinematography Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1948-1954).
After graduating from secondary school, he volunteered for the front, participated in the battles on the First Ukrainian Front, and was seriously wounded in 1943. After a long treatment, he was discharged from the army in 1945. After returning to his homeland, he worked as a photographer at the Industrial Combine in Guba. After graduating from the Higher Cinematography School, he returned to Baku in 1954. He started working as an assistant cinematographer at the Baku Film Studio. In parallel with the Baku Film Studio, he worked at Azerbaijan Television. In 1979, he worked as a cinematographer in the installation shooting workshop at the film studio, but due to health problems, he permanently left cinema in 1982.
Alihuseyn Huseynov died in 1987.
