Albay Efendi (Abbas Babayev) was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azerbaijan Cooperation University (2003-2007).
He worked as a sound director on ATV television (2009-2011), ITV (2011-2018). He is best known as a rap artist. At the end of his school years, he created a group called “Khalifa” with Islam Shirvani, and in 2000 they performed under the name “Big Mafia Alliance”, then “Majlis Clan”, and in 2001 “RAPressia CLAN”. Albay Efendi has been performing solo since 2011. In 2012, he released his first solo album “Anomalia”.
