Akif Huseynov

Akif Huseynov was born in Tbilisi, Georgia.
He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Azerbaijan State University (1964), and at the postgraduate course of the Nizami Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences (1965-1968).
He worked as the head of the literary criticism department of the editorial office of the "Azerbaijan" magazine (1967-1971), the editor-in-chief of the "Ulduz" magazine (1971-1973), a junior research worker in the literary theory department of the Nizami Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences (1973-1976), and a senior research worker in the modern literary process department (1976-1992). He began his literary activity in 1966 with the article "National Features in Literature" published in the "Literature and Art" newspaper. He periodically appears in periodicals.
