Ahmad Orujoghlu

Ahmad Orucoglu (Ahmadagha Aliyev) was born in Baku.
He studied at Baku Medical School No. 3 (1966), the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1970-1974).
He worked as an artistic director in the Artyom and Surakhani Palaces of Culture and the House of Medical Workers. He worked as an editor in the release department of the Azerbaijan State Television (1982), as an editor in the “Morning” program. He is the author of several New Year and Novruz celebrations and programs. He worked as the head of the musical and entertainment department on the BMTI TV channel (1992-1993), and in 2000 as the chief producer of the ABA TV channel. He was the author of the idea for the “Teletime” program on Lider TV, the scriptwriter for the “Nem-Nem” program in a new format, the New Year celebrations, and the editor-in-chief of the “Morning” program (2001-2007). Since 2007, he has been working on Azerbaijani television again.
He began his literary career with humorous stories and plays. His books have been published. His plays have been staged in theaters. He currently directs the "Devran" Theater.
