Ahmad Aghdamski (Ahmad Badalbeyli) was born in Shusha.

From an early age, he participated in theater enthusiasts' clubs and folk ceremonial performances. He began his stage career in the theater troupe of the "Nijat" Charity Society (1910). In the early years of the last century, when there were no female performers in Azerbaijan, at the request of his cousin Uzeyir Hajibeyov, he played the role of Leyli in the second performance of the opera "Leyli and Majnun" in 1908. He was the first performer of female roles in all operas and operettas written by Uzeyir bey before the revolution. The devotee of art, who was constantly watched and persecuted for performing female roles, was forced to change his surname and place of residence. For several years, he was known by the name Miri. Returning to Karabakh, he created a theater troupe in Aghdam (1923). In 1934, he moved to Aghdash and worked as a tar teacher at a music school there for a long time.

Honored Artist (1943) Ahmad Aghdamski died in Aghdash in 1954.
