Agshin Kazimzadeh was born in Baku.

He studied at the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute.

He took his first steps in journalism while still a student in the newspaper "Molodyozh Azerbaijan" (1956). He headed the newspapers "Fizkulturnik Azerbaijan" (now "Idman"), "Panorama", worked in "Bakinski raboch", "Gunay", "Bizim asr", "Zerkalo", "Vyshka", "Kaspi" and other Russian-language publications. He worked as the only Azerbaijani regional correspondent for "Sovetski sport" in Azerbaijan. He headed the International Relations Department at the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. Since 2001, he has worked as the head of the press service of "Azerenerji" OJSC.

Laureate of the "Golden Pen" award, Honored Journalist Agshin Kazimzade died in 2011.
