Agharafi Rahimov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1972, Rza Tahmasib's course).
While in high school, he joined a drama club. He began his stage career at the Sheki State Drama Theater. For a while, he worked at the Musical Comedy Theater (1977-1988, 1996-2005), and the Baku Municipal Criticism and Propaganda Theater (1988-1996). He was the director of the Binagadi People's Theater.
Agharafi Rahimov died in 2005.
