Aflatun Abdullayev was born in Baku.

He studied at the Variety Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (2003-2007) and at the University of Vienna.

Since his studies, he has worked as an actor and director at the Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theater (2005-2014). His first play, “Frame,” was staged in 2008. During his 9 years at the Pantomime Theater, he has appeared on stage more than 500 times, performing in festivals in the regions of Azerbaijan and in leading European cities such as Paris, Vienna, Berlin, and Zurich. After leaving the theater in 2014, he participated in theater and dance festivals in Tbilisi, Bremen, and Tabriz with his solo performances.

Since 2015, he has been living in Austria. He makes films as a director.
