Afag Yusifli was born in Fuzuli. She studied English Philology and Pedagogy at Baku Slavic University (2015), Directing Course at Baku Film Institute (2016, Ali Isa Jabbarov's course), Directing at the Cinema School of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan (2019-2021).
She has participated in various international and local cinema courses and trainings. She works as the International Relations Manager of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan, and is the coordinator of the union's cinema training projects.
