Adil Abbasov (Adil Abbas) was born in Tehran. He studied at the Cinematography Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK, 1984). He works on Azerbaijani television. He teaches at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. He was awarded the “Humay” and “Golden Chirag” awards (2002). He is an Honored Cultural Worker (2006), Honored Art Worker (2018).
Cinematographer Adil Abbasov is the brother of journalist Tofig Abbasov.
