Golden Fairy Awards

Date of establishment: 2015

Founder: Azerbaijan Professional Film Directors Guild

The “Golden Fairy” Award is awarded for achievements in the field of national cinema, contributions to national and world audiovisual culture.
Purpose: to support the development of the audiovisual field, preserve national spiritual values, and encourage professionals working in this field - authors, performers, and producers.

I Golden Fairy Awards (2015)

Date: 28.12.2015
The Selection Commission of the “Golden Fairy” Award, chaired by People's Artist, Film Director Yalchin Efendiyev, reviewed 187 application forms and audiovisual works submitted to the competition between 01.10.2015 and 01.11.2015, and determined the nominations and five nominees (candidates) for each nomination.

Best Short Feature Film: Zabit Zhanpari (director Vugar Islamzade)

Best female role performance: Gulzar Gurbanova (Unfinished Memories)
Best male role performance: Fuad Poladov (Actress), Namig Aghayev (Downstream)
Best cinematography: Nadir Mehdiyev (Holu)
Best art work: Rafis Ismayilov (Ambassador of Dawn)
Best original music: Javanshir Guliyev (Ambassador of Dawn)
Best producer: Mushfig Hatamov (Nabat)
Special award: For contributions to the development of national cinema - Zaur Maharramov
Special award: For contributions to the development of national television - Ramiz Hasanoglu (AzTV)
Special diploma: For activities in the development of independent cinema - the best producer: Irada Bagirzadeh (Bugalemun)
Special diploma: The best television film in revealing the dark moments of history - Difai (Kepez TV)

II Golden Fairy Awards (2018)

The members of the Selection Commission of the “Golden Fairy” award reviewed 316 application forms and related audiovisual works submitted to the competition between 03.10.2018 and 30.10.2018 and determined the nominations and nominees (candidates).
