Up to 800 films applied to the festival. 79 films from 26 countries were selected for screening.
For the first time, a full-length film competition was also held at the 15th festival.
In the traditional non-competitive section of the festival, “Our Language,” there was an opportunity to watch films shot in the native languages of our compatriots living in different parts of the world, as well as short films nominated for the BAFTA award of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, presented with the support of the British Council.
Within the framework of the festival, a presentation by Faruk Güven, the head of “TRT Cinema”, a discussion on the topic of “co-production” with the participation of Turkish producer Emrah Kılıç and Azerbaijani producer Emil Najafov, and the Azerbaijani premiere of the film “Coal” by Iranian director and jury member of the festival’s international competition Ismail Monsef were held.
