All-Union Film Festival
Period: 1958–1988
The All-Union Film Festival (AUF) was the main film festival held in the Soviet Union from 1958 to 1988. The time and venue of each festival were regulated by the USSR State Committee for Cinematography and the USSR Union of Cinematographers.
The first All-Union Film Festival was held in 1958.
The first three festivals were held irregularly from 1958 to 1960.
Since 1964, the film festival has been held regularly every two years, and since 1972, annually.
