FILMING OF A NEW FILM DEDICATED TO THE HISTORY OF AZERBAIJAN HAS BEGUN: “ATROPATENA”

The shooting of a new film produced by Caspian Media Group and commissioned by the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan has begun: “Atropatena”.
The film is built as a unity of both documentary facts and artistic imagination and will cover important stages in the formation of national identity. The film stars Rustam Jabrayilov, Umid Gadimli, Duygu Daveli, Samimi Farhad, Manaf Dadashov, Rumiya Agayeva, George Gafarov, Nigar Gadirli and Vidadi Hasanov. The project is directed by Elmar Bayramov, scriptwriter Nijat Dadashov, cameraman Rauf Gurbanaliyev, artist Sabuhi Atababayev, costume designer Vusal Rahim, chief producer Huseyn Javadzadeh, executive producer Azer Hasanov, and fight choreographer Sain Farhad.
According to the story of the film, during the conquests of Alexander the Great in the Middle East, Atropate wins the trust of the ruler with his intelligence, political agility and fighting courage. However, his main goal is not only to serve Alexander, but also to protect his people from the rule of foreigners and lay the foundation of the future state of Atropatena. Against the background of Alexander's palace intrigues and bloody battles, Atropate wins an eternal place in history and in the memory of the nation with his wisdom.
Currently, filming is underway in several regions of Azerbaijan - in places distinguished by their historical monuments and natural landscapes. According to the representatives of the project, the film will use modern technological solutions and cinematic effects.
