Vidadi Hasanov (H.V.Ismail) was born in Ganja.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1980-1984).

He worked as a worker at the “Uralkabel” plant in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg) (1975-1977), as an actor at the Ganja State Drama Theater (1979-1980), the Educational Theater (1984-1986), and the Yugh Theater (1990-2021).

He participated in 3 roles in the play “Timon of Athens” (Shakespeare) at the Zafar Creativity Center. He directed about 20 plays. He was a director and actor of radio plays.
In 2009, he founded the “Akhyn” Theater School. In 2016, he is the artistic director of “M.Teatr Production”, established under the “Media Company”.
Since 1986, he has been a teacher at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts, and since 2003, he has been an associate professor of the “Acting Art” department (until 2020).
He was awarded the “Best Actor” award for his work in the monoplay “Dede Gorgud” that he directed at the 2nd International Theater Festival of Monolingual Peoples (1996, Ufa).
At the 1st International Theater Festival of Students in Kazakhstan, the students of the course he led received the “Grand Prix” award (2011, Almaty). He has won awards as an actor and screenwriter at various international film festivals.
He starred in the role of a Mexican in the Estonian-produced film “Guruh”.
He completed screenwriting courses in Tbilisi (2009) and Moscow (2010) and received an international certificate.
He participated in the preparation of various programs and dubbing of films.
He regularly writes articles in periodicals. He has written columns in the newspapers “21st Century” and “Musavat”.
The books “The Formation of an Actor as a Personality” (2005), “I Don’t Want to Be a Poet” (2008), “Sand Grains” (2015), “Plays Translations” (2021) have been published.
He is a musician in the bard genre. He has composed and performed about 40 pieces of music in this genre to the words of various poets.
