Vagif Bayatli Oder
Vagif Bayatli Oder (Vagif Jabrayilov) was born in the village of Boyuk Marjanli, Jabrayil.
He studied at the evening department of the Faculty of Industrial and Civil Construction of the Azerbaijan Institute of Civil Engineers.
He worked as a worker in construction department No. 445, a construction technician, a standardizing engineer in construction department No. 48, an engineer in the central council of the "Mahsul" society, a department head in the "Ulduz" magazine (1981–1990), editor-in-chief of the "Khazar" collection (1989–1992), and director of the studio for foreign broadcasts of the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Company (1992). He was elected secretary to the board of directors of the Secretariat of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union (for work with youth) (1991).
He was awarded the "Mirza Jalil Award" of the Azerbaijan Press Fund (1993) and the "Vladimir Mayakovsky Award" of the Council of Ministers of Georgia.
