Samir Karimoghlu

Samir Karimoghlu (Samir Karimov) was born in Baku.

He studied at the Management Faculty of the Institute of Futurology (1990-1993).

In 1993, he dropped out of school and moved to Antalya, Turkey, and after working in the tourism sector for 6 years, he returned to Azerbaijan in 1999. He started working as a video editor at MTM Production (2000). He began his directing career with a clip he shot in 2002. He won an award in the “Best Clip” nomination for the clip he shot for the “Music Lee” group at the International Audiovisual Festival (2003). He has been working in the field of cinema as a director since 2007. He was awarded the “Zirve” award (2010).
