Rubaba Muradova (Rubaba Ishragi) was born in the Iranian city of Ardabil. In 1943, her family moved to the city of Ali Bayramli (now Shirvan).
From the age of 17, she performed in various roles in the local theater. She studied at the Sabirabad Drama Theater. In 1950, Alasgar Alakbarov, who was on tour, noticed her talent and invited her to Baku. Since 1954, she has been a soloist of the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater. She studied at the Baku Music School named after Asaf Zeynalli (1955, Seyid Shushinsky's class). She was a singer with an impressive and diverse voice and an original style of performance. She performed the main roles in the operas "Leyli and Majnun", "Asli and Kerem", "Shah Ismail", "Ashig Garib". She was known as a skilled performer of mugham, tasnif and folk songs.
Honored Artist (1956), People's Artist (1971) Rubaba Muradova died in 1983 and was buried in the Yasamal cemetery.
