Rahila Jabbarova was born in Tbilisi.

 She studied at Music School No. 1 in Tbilisi, at the vocal department of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1949–1954).

During the war years (1941–1945), she worked at a military hospital in Tbilisi. She was an instructor at the Tbilisi House of Folk Creativity (1945–1947). She was accepted as a soloist in the Georgian State Song and Dance Ensemble. In 1947, she moved to Baku with her family.

While still a third-year student, she was accepted as a soloist at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. She first appeared on stage as a singer in the opera "Koroglu" (Uzeyir Hajibeyov). She was a mezzo-soprano opera singer. She also frequently participated in radio and television programs.

She worked as the head of the vocal department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1971–1997).

Honored Artist (1958) Rahila Jabbarov died in 2002.
