Nisa Gasimova

Nisa Gasimova was born in Baku.
At the age of 9, she became a soloist of the “Banovsha” children's choir. The song “I have a close friend named Gunesh” was written specifically for the blonde, smiling girl who performed in various concert programs. In 1971, she was invited as a soloist to the “Lale Girls Ensemble” under the State Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev. In 1975, she began working as a soloist on State Television. In the same years, she went to Moscow at the invitation of the USSR State Electro Music Orchestra. In 1977, she entered the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. In 1975, she performed Leyli in the television version of the opera “Leyli and Majnun”. In 1980, she won first place in the “S pesnyami po zhizni” international competition. She was the host of various television programs. She is one of the organizers of the first show programs in independent Azerbaijan.
She starred in the film “Alovlu yollarla” produced by “Uzbekfilm”.
