Natig Gubadoghlu

Natig Gubadoghlu (Natig Babayev) was born in the village of Minke, Ismayilli region, and is originally from Ujar.
He studied at the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University.
He worked as an editor in the editorial office of socio-political programs of Azerbaijan Television (1993-2005) and on Public Television. He defended his dissertation on the topic “Territorial and spatial characteristics of the oikonomia of the Kalbajar-Lachin region” and was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Geography. Since 2021, he has been a senior researcher at the Department of History of Geography and Toponymy at ANAS, a teacher at Baku State University. His books and scientific articles have been published. He is a laureate of the “Golden Pen” award (2012).
