Nadir Huseynov was born in the village of Gırımızkend, Salyan (now Neftchala).
He studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1971-1976).
For a while, he worked as an actor at the Lankaran State Theater, and since 1977, at the Educational Theater under the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. In 1975, he received a diploma at the All-Union Art Recitative Competition held in Leningrad. He was the host of the “Ozan” folklore collection program on Azerbaijani television. He was mainly engaged in art recitation. He taught stage speech at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
Honored Teacher (2023), Professor Nadir Huseynov died in 2025.
