Masma Aslangizi (Masma Aghaverdiyeva) was born in Baku.
She was admitted to the Philology Faculty of Baku State University and studied there for a year. Later, she studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1994).
When the course leader Azer Pasha Nemet prepared the satirical comedy “Ah, Paris... Paris!..” (Elchin) for the performance at the Academic National Drama Theater, he invited her to the role of Nurbeniz. In 1996, the actress was accepted into the acting troupe of the collective. She was the host of entertainment and musical shows on TV channels. She was awarded the “Best Young Actress of the Year” nomination by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (1999), the “Golden Dervish” award for the role of Ophelia in the play “Hamlet” (2003), and the “Humay” award for the role of Nargile in the play “Boy çiçey” (2012).
She is an Honored Artist (2007).
