Kamala Musazadeh (Kamala Gunashli / Kamala Musayeva / Kamala Mehrali) was born in the Kalinenkend (now Vurgun) settlement of Agstafa.

She studied at the Clerical course of the Agstafa Railway Vocational School, at the Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature, specializing in Russian language (1989-1994), at the People's Department of the Conservatory (Islam Rzayev's class, 1994), at the People's Conservatory under Islam Rzayev (1994), at the Fashion Designer course (2001), and at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, specializing in Filmmaking (2002-2006, Eldar Guliyev's course).

He worked as a grape-growing worker at the Samad Vurgun State Farm (1987-1989), a presenter at the Gazakh Drama Theater, and an archive employee at the Azerbaijan State Radio (1995). He collaborated with the “Qalibiyyet Bayraya” newspaper published in the Gazakh region, various studios, newspapers and magazines, Azerbaijani television and Public television as a journalist, translator and director. He performed in several countries as part of the International group “Light of Unity” (1998). He was the editor of the “Drops from the Mugham Sea” series produced by the “Mugham” Studio (1998).

In 2020, he founded the National Cinema Center (MKM Production) and the Public Union for Support for the Development of Our National Cinema Culture.
