Idris Heydarli

Idris Heydarli (Idris Heydarov) was born in the village of Yolojag, Yardimli district.
He studied at the Faculty of Theater Studies of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1992), and at the postgraduate course in the Philosophy of Culture (1995).
He worked as an administrator at the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater (1989-1991), head of the literary section at the "Yug" studio of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater (1991-1992), chief specialist at the Union of Theater Workers (1992-1994), senior editor at the Azerbaijan State Radio and Television Company (1994-1996), marketing manager at Pepsi and Hyatt Regency Baku hotels, editor and presenter at Space TV (2002-2006), editor at AzTV (2006-2007), and executive director at Inter Azerbaijan Television operating in Moscow, Russia (2007-2010).
Since 2010, he has been the executive director of the Azerbaijan National Research Center. Since 2010, he has been the leader and organizer of the global TED conference organization "TEDxBaku" events.
The book "The Pain of Memory" was published (2015). Columns have been published in various websites and magazines.
