Hijran Huseynov

Hijran Huseynov was born in Gabala.

He studied at the Baku Library Technical School (1959-1961) and the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1964-1968).

In 1968, he was assigned to the Sumgayit State Drama Theater as an actor and worked for 1 year. He participated in a competition announced on Azerbaijani television. After passing the third competition, he was invited to the position of announcer at AzTV. He began his work at AzTV in 1971 and rose to the position of senior announcer. He continued his work mainly as a host of programs designed for young people, and later as a permanent host of information programs, "Screen of the Day" and "News". He worked as editor-in-chief on the "Culture" channel.

Honored Artist (2006) Hijran Huseynov died in 2013 and was buried in the Mardakan cemetery.
